One-stop solution for any pump requirement
Buccaneer Slurry Pumps is a strong and reliable South African brand in the pumping industry, and a name that continues to rise to the challenges within the South African mining sector. The brand itself has a reputation for its robust and heavy-duty slurry pumps – manufactured to exceed all quality and performance standards when used under any abrasive or corrosive application.
Every pump is backed by Buccaneer’s After Sales Service and Quality Assurance programme; which includes installation and commissioning, onsite breakdown repairs, pump servicing and customer training.
The entire product range is designed, manufactured and assembled locally under one roof, giving control on quality and allowing Buccaneer to streamline its workflow.
Buccaneer Slurry Pumps proudly became a part of Torre Industries in 2018. Its heritage began over 10 years ago as Mining and Slurry Technologies (MST) – a pioneering company that saw the need to manufacture pumps locally at a time when the industry norm was to import from the Far East. The decision to make a significant investment in a foundry changed the course of MST and began its journey of growth – uniquely positioned to manufacture slurry pumps locally; Buccaneer Pumps entered the market, 100% South African.
Today, Buccaneer is ranked as one of the top largest slurry pump distributors nationally. This is no mean feat – slurry is a unique process founded in science. It requires engineering expertise to apply solutions to problems – this is why Buccaneer has some of the country’s most specialised engineering minds in its sales and solutions team.
The company’s growth has been further bolstered by the Department of Trade and Industry and an SABS campaign to drive the use of local products, where 80% of pumps supplied to the mining industry now have to be SA manufactured. As a proudly South African company, Buccaneer does more than serve the end user or customer, it supports local suppliers – impacting small businesses and creating wealth locally by supporting SMME business development.
The company has established itself as market leaders in the local manufacture and supply of Magnetic drive pumps into the Process, Chemical and Petrochemical markets trading as Brubin Pumps.
Brubin also offers the Brubin BA and ALP range of Peristaltic Hose pumps into Mineral Process, Chemical industries and industrial applications. These pumps are offered to facilitate customers’ processes through innovative solutions especially when pumping high viscosity and shear sensitive liquids.
In a competitive market Brubin also offer the ever evolving, environmentally friendly Robuschi range of Blowers, Vacuum pumps and screw compressors for high volume air conveyance in industries such as Food and Beverage, Lime and Cement, Paper and Pulp as well as General Manufacturing.
